For those of you who were worried you wouldn't be able to move the data on your old PSP, to the PSP go, Sony has just put your fears to rest. Sony will be releasing along side the PSP Go, it’s own PSP branded Memory Stick Micro M2. Included wil be an easy solution so you can seamlessly move content from your old PSP-1000, PSP-2000, or PSP-3000, to your new PSP Go.

Exactly. I'm waiting for them to announce the $100 device you'll need to transfer your UMDs to your Go.

Who would worry about that? It's called...use a computer. Since you need a computer to transfer the data to your PSP in the first place, it shouldn't be much of an issue...

Fails until you can copy UMD's to the PSP Go's internal memory.

This is totally pointless. Don't they know that every M2 card comes with either a PRO or PRO Duo adapter?
I bought one with a PRO Duo adapter to use on my phone and PSP.
The only good thing about this is the 100 free music tracks deal with the 16GB card.

I have a 2GB M2 with PRO Duo adapter in my PSP right this second- I can imagine just taking that memstick right out of my PSP 2000 and sticking it in my Go- without having to worry about anything else. But no.... Anyway, I wonder if the Go will be released with its own memstick? Like, the PSP-1000 came bundled with a 32MB Duo at launch. Will there be something similiar (but much, much larger) for the Go?

Yeah . . . what's the big deal? What's so hard about using a computer to transfer the data, just like normal?

I clicked this thinking it was UMD related. I should've known better.

This seems a gd idea for anyone purchasing the new PSP who already has an older version!
