Continuing the delaying trend, the makers of Dark Sector are pulling out of the release this fall and are releasing the game early next year when the heat of the games hitting the holiday season cools down.

According to FiringSquad, Dark Sector, "the first ever next-gen game," has been delayed:

Originally scheduled for release this fall, a spokesperson for the game's publisher D3Publishing has now told FiringSquad, "We've decided to pull Dark Sector out of a very crowded holiday season and it is now slated for release in Q1 2008." The questions about the release date for the game began after retail sites like Gamestop showed a new Jan. 15 2008 release date for Dark Sector.
The "Coming Early 2008" text on the official website backs this report up ;)
