Even though the release date was leaked a day early, Square Enix still had more up their sleeves including, a new trailer and demo for attendants to see and play, both of which will be made public at the Tokyo Game Show later this month. Below is a run down of the information revealed at the event;

- The game will be released in Japan on the 17th of December.
- Snow appears to be romantically involved with the new character, Serah, who is also Lightning's sister.
- Lightning is named so because she decided to ditch her name after her parents died, so as to become more of an adult to protect Serah.
- Sazh's son has been turned into a crystal by Jihl.
- The game will have 2 main vocal arrangements called "Because You're Here" and "Eternal Love".
- Vocal songs will be present throughout the game, including on the field maps.
- Enormous "Monster Hunter"-esque enemies appeared on the feild map during the new trailer.
- A new demo was playable (and will be so at TGS) which included the gang fighting a large Phoenix-esque monster.
- A new 'wild looking' black haired female character was revealed during a new trailer.
- Sazh's summon has been confirmed to be Ifrit, who transforms into a racecar during his Gestalt Mode.
- Snow appeared topless during the new trailer, much to the delight of fangirls.
