Okay, we all knew this was coming, just not when.

If you haven't already heard, we can expect some Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC next week. According to the in-game ticker, the free DLC will arrive on consoles in nine days, which lands on September 17.

The ticker also promises more DLC info later.

Tips have been coming in from all over as gamers noticed an eye-catching announcement at the bottom of the menu screen. The scrolling ticker states that free DLC is coming in nine days, which would land on September 17.

Many have speculated this to be the playable Joker content currently exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version, though there have been no suggestions to prove (or disprove) this theory. Most likely more Challenges, if you ask me. Let's just keep our fingers crossed for something awesome.

    PALGN:

UPDATE: According to PlayStation Life the new DLC will be the "Insane Night DLC Pack (coming September 17) and Prey in the Darkness DLC Pack (coming September 24th)" the latter is rumored to be PS3 exclusive".

The Insane Night pack will consist of the Dem Bone’s Scarecrow Challenge Map Packs, and Crime Alley Challenge Maps, which were apparently available by purchasing the game at certain retailers and in the Collector's Edition of the game.

I was guessing the updates would just be new Challenge maps. Still cool though, especially free.
