Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that Guitar Hero 5 will attempt to set a Guinness World Record to mark it's European release this Friday, 11th September 2009.

To celebrate the launch of the latest instalment of the global music gaming phenomenon, Activision is staging a European 'jump in, jump out' Guinness World Records attempt for the most players playing Guitar Hero 5 on one console in a 24-hour period. British pop sensation Pixie Lott is launching the UK heat of the competition and will be one of the first participants to take part in Britain’s endeavour to beat its European cousins in the Guinness World Records attempt.
