$149! Holy hell thats half the price of the system. I guess its an acutal paint job and not some sticker.

I do like the red and white one.

They look like crap. I think it's just the color combo they have

      Trexman89 Sep 12, 09
yea, if you go on their website. You can mix and match any color combo you want....you could make one all white if you wanted.

The red and white one does look really nice, far to much money though.

The pink one looks like crap, but the other two look badass. They remind me of Canadian hockey

White looks nice but the other two colours shown here look ugly to me.

But then, I wouldn't fork over that much just for a change of colours on any games console.

Id pay around $50 for a color change....also, if you go to their webiste, to be an "elite member" you have to pay $20,000 a year!

thats just ridiculous. no amount of paint will warrant that.

Guys, the memberships are for corporations who do a crapload of this stuff. For example every high-ranking executive gets a company-branded Blackberry and such.

looks crap. i could do that good of a paint job on my own. for that price i would expect it to look extraordinary.

They only serve to make a console with awful aesthetic design into a console with an awful aesthetic design and an awful paintjob.

You'd have to be a pretty big Sony fanboy to pay that kind of money for a console paint job. That, or a person who is really crazy about decorating their rooms and having the right colours.

Either way though I'm not getting this, the games are all that matters to me.

I find it kind of funny that a majority of people here are saying they look like crap. Maybe the 3 examples they show aren't your taste but if took the 5 minutes to go on their website you would see that you can customize it to any color you want.

The price is high, I agree, but the paint jobs that they have on the systems, laptops, cell phones, all look amazing quality. The metallic and pearl colors they have are all pretty amazing looking. It is just over priced.

you can go and customize the colors on their site. Pearl white PS3 with sky blue strip looks nice.

I don't understand some of the hate here. There's a lot of "ugly console with an ugly paint job. God it's all ugly" kind of stuff goin on here. I mean, come on, except for that pink one, those colors make that console look absolutely awesome. And you can customise them!

Yeah they where just bad examples. messing with it I made some cool looking PS3's. I checked some other stuff on their site, too bad they only customize macs, I wanted to see my laptop with new look.

And the beats headphones are *bleep*ing smexy!

and from what i hear, this place does phenominal work. Paint doesn't ever chip off, and it just feels really professional

i say it looks like crap cause if you are paying $150 for that, i expect it to make the console look 10x sexier than before, and it doesnt at all. i could do that good of a paint job and im not even a pro. to me its not worth anywhere near $150, i dont care what color combinations they have.

    HisServant77 Sep 13, 09
Wow . . . honestly it's amazing how a paint job can change the way the console looks. I wouldn't mind some different colors.

    But, this isn't really new . . .

Wait, $150 for JUST an ordinary color? *bleep* that, even then they sort of mess it up with the PS3 logo in a different color.

The white one is the best one out there and even then it isn't that great.

Looks like a cheap Chinese rip off.

The paint jobs are nice though.

    $150 for a paint job?

Have they even heard of the recession?

    Jeterocks* Sep 13, 09
    Shinobi,

That's the thing then...You can't sit there and say it looks like crap when it really doesn't. You may not like the price and not feel the price justifies the paint job, but the paint job its self does not look like crap.

It's like saying a Ferrari(or any other expensive car) looks like crap because it costs so much...when in reality it is a beautiful car, you just cant afford it.

      Shinobi_razor Sep 13, 09
how about this then. for $150 it looks like crap. for say, $25 it looks nice. i could do the same thing and add a outer coat of clear satin sealer which would make it shiny high-gloss and make it look a lot better than that for about $15 total.

        Jeterocks* Sep 13, 09
You keep saying you can do better, but I really doubt it. What are you going to do, get some painters tape, some cans of spray paint, and go to work? I bet it would be a mess.

If you check out the quality of the paintjob these guys do, it is immaculate. Everything from Macbooks, to blackberries to gaming systems. Everything is perfectly done. I would love to see just an average joe get even close to the quality that they offer.

Like I said though, for $150, it seems a bit steep...I understand that, but quality wise and from a cosmetic standpoint, the paintjob is great.

You know those are 3d models and not actual pictures.
        • 1
          Shinobi_razor Sep 14, 09
you have to take the system apart so you can paint the case without painting what you dont want to. you cant just use tape and mask off areas, that will for sure make it look bad.

          Jeterocks* Sep 14, 09
Pretty sure the pictures that are in the gallery are NOT 3D models...

They're just pictures of the PS3 Slim with divided areas for color changes. Kinda like changing an object's color with Photoshop.

          Jeterocks* Sep 14, 09
Yea, I understand that. When you go to the customize section it is like that, but if you check out the gallery section, it is actual pictures of stuff they have done. You can actually see the camera's reflection in some of the macbook screens...

You could send your PS3 in to be painted, wait for however long it takes for them to send it back and pay a $150 for a permanetnt color change.

Or you could order a 15-20 dollar vinyl set for your PS3, keep playing while it arrives, and remove it when you want...
