Personally, I'm neutral in this argument, but I never saw the point in game saves. What happened to playing the game for the enjoyment ? People who use game saves take their gamer score way too seriously.

No this is for fantasy drafts and the such mostly for football games. They are the ones pissy about having their saves renderd useless.

I don't like the idea of achievement cheaters.. It ruin's the real gamer's chances of being on the top of the worldwide xbox live leaderboards..

What's the point of buying a game when you don't even finish the entire thing including the achievements that the developers have gone to all the trouble of dreaming up.

I like to finish my games in full including achievements.
I don't know about you guys but would you go and hire a DVD and watch it but then about 30 minutes before the ending take it back to the store..?? That's the way I sorted see it.

If people want to use game saves to skip hours of playing a game that's their business. I don't like the power microsoft has is in invalidating those saves though. It seems to be overstepping their bounds

I must agree with you huntyr, Microsoft are basically doing everything they can to get rid of potential customers from the way I see it.

With the update that bricked a lot of XBOX360s, then the one that stopped modded consoles playing online (although, to be honest, I'm for that move). The things that they are doing it seems to be angering a lot of XBOX360 players who use sites that store GameSaves.

One thing that the article didn't make clear. What happens if you happen to be the originator of the GameSave? It seems to corrupt GameSaves that have a particular XBOX360 id, but if your console itself is with that ID, does that mean it basically makes your console unable to save games?
