Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that Gamebridge will launch Papermates and Way of the Samurai 3 in early 2010, with assistance from Rising Star Games.

Fledgling publisher Gamebridge has grown from strength-to-strength since its inception last year and is now ready to showcase its early 2010 line-up. The publisher will be using the London MCM Expo as a launch pad for Papermates and Way of the Samurai 3, set to arrive in Europe early next year, with marketing and sales coordinated by Rising Star Games.

FINALLY! I loved the first and second games and have waited so long for an announcement on the third.

Did you play them on PS3? I had this weird glitch where their heads were like rapid speed twitching...like jazz hands, but jazz...er...heads.

I'm so getting Donna Donna though, that dude was a badass.

Nah, I only played them on PS2 and had no such problems. I also have the remake of 1 on PSP. Something didn't feel right about that one though.

Hope they bring back one hit kill mode.

Reading up on the game a bit, it's multiplat, with the 360 edition having more content but coming out later than the PS3 did in Japan. Presumably all western release versions will be based on the expanded 360 version.

Huh, that's good to know. I have both consoles, so it won't be a problem. I hadn't heard that though, so presumably there should be no difference.

Since our version is coming out later, I would assume we're all getting the expanded version anyway. It was kind of backwards with how that worked out compared to what we get(timed exclusives on Vesparia and whatnot)

The weapon system was completely revamped, with you being able to select your handle, guard and blade. They said you can make unique weapons this way like a spear shaft with a katana blade.

You also choose your stance and attacks when you make your weapons. They said combat would play out more like it did in the first game, with the removal of the parrying system that they felt made the second game uneven, and that this should have online in it.
