Team Ico's previous games, Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus, didn't have massive sales. One of the reasons why Ico sold poorly in the US was the lack of appeal to that audience. Sony tried to catch their attention by creating a different boxart for the game, which to contrary to popular opinion, was worse then the JP boxart. So now Team Ico are paying special attention to the west and how to capture their attention. One is the name of the game, it was chosen to appeal to that audience.

And it was then that he referred to the ICO team's latest project, The Last Guardian, and revealed that the name of the game was selected specifically to appeal to the North American and European markets.

Something about this has me somewhat worried. Before, the focus was moreso to create their own game their own way and bring people into the team's own world, no matter who bought it. But now, the focus is to sell copies...

For the time being, I'm gonna put this game in the "maybe" pile.

That's a tad bit dramatic. They're a business. They need to focus on sales, and one of the best ways to do so is to cater to their audience. So I wouldn't feel like they're going to abandon their morals, just because they want to make the game as successful as possible.

Oh lawdy not a name made with the consumer in mind!! They've obviously abandoned all artistic pride in the sake of capitalism and should be shunned for this!

      Far too over-dramatic.

How are they gonna bring people into their world when no one buys the *bleep*ing game.

Focussing on the Western Audience doesn't mean this will be a game full of snide comments, breasts and hacky slashy *bleep*wits. It just means they'll name things a little differently.

Jesus Christ, do your always react like this to minor things?
