Arr, me hearties! September the 19th is the International Talk Like a Pirate Day. There is no better way to celebrate it than with playing bunch of Monkey Island games with yer mateys. TellTale Games and Lucas Arts are giving 50% discount on The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition. Also, on Friday (today), gamers can get the first chapter of Tales of Monkey Island for free! Yo-ho-ho!

Saturday is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, a sort of informal holiday when people say, "arrrr!" a lot. To celebrate the occasion, TellTale Games and LucasArts are letting Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate lead the way with some awesome deals on Monkey Island games.

Starting today and on through to September 21st, adventure gamers can get a 50% off the purchase of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition from Steam and Direct2Drive. iPhone/iPod Touch owners can also take advantage of the 50% off The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition Lite app from the iTunes store.     The Monkey Island games are quite entertaining. I've only played the first chapter as well as The Secret of Monkey Island, but they stand the test of time.
