Initial price of 30 bucks for PC version of popular platform game Trine shocked the potential players. However, the common sense prevailed and the price has been lowered. Steam is now offering the game for $19.99.

It seems cooler heads have prevailed as Frozenbyte’s excellent platformer Trine has been given a permanent price reduction down to what PC users were expecting when the game was originally released.

Eyebrows were raised prior to Trine’s release when it was revealed that the original PC version of the game would cost twice as much as that of the Playstation 3 version. Eventually the game hit PC digital distributors in the US at $29.99, but even then the two versions held a $10 disparity.

Today the (more accurately: a) goal has been reached with Steam now offering the game for $19.99, the same price Sony charges for the PSN version of the game, or would if they ever got around to releasing it in North America.
