PlayStation 3's first LCD-friendly light gun revealed

Finally, it had to happen. Time Crisis 4 for the PlayStation 3 will offer up the first light gun (the rather sexy GunCon 3) for use with LCD televisions. Built in much the same way as the Wii Remote, light-gun gaming is BACK! We're happy. Did you notice? Sadly, the US and Euro versions will be in puke orange. Bleh!

For the GunCon 3, you place two markers on the left and right sides of your TV screen. A camera inside the muzzle of the gun detects the position of the markers, and thus you can use it regardless of your monitor [type].

    I'm not feeling the design, but then again I'd need to hold one in my hands before making a proper judgement. But orange?! Come on, that makes matters worse.

    Are they in the orange color because of the whole differentiating between a real gun and a fake one? Why not just make the tip orange if that were the case?
