Do dreams come true? Some PS3 owners may get their dreams come true in the future. It sounds like Yakuza 3 will be heading to the US and Europe in the future.

Just a few days ago Sega rep Aaron Webber commented that the possibility of Yakuza 3 coming to the U.S. still exists and that it's a subject discussed quite often at Sega. Today we can do one better: we've learned that the PS3 exclusive is indeed coming west.

This was apparently a very well-received game over in Japan. Hopefully it will recieve the same praise here.

    It's a fun series. Wish they'd port Yakuza 3 to the 360.

The demo was pretty good but I dunno about the actual game; seems like it may get repetitive. Great news nonetheless though.

Well Yakuza keeps the gameplay fresh with a level up system so you learn new fighting techniques.

That doesn't necessarily keep it fresh for long though, does it? Instead of punching a guy in the face you kick him =/= innovation. I'm not knocking the game or anything; just speculation.

I've beaten the first Yakuza, a 20 hour game, and I never got bored. However that may just be me, but why does everything need to be "innovative" to be fun?

Also your speculation of the level up system is pretty unjustified. I am just saying, the original game for PS2 is $10, I reccomend giving it a shot, or even the sequel for $20 which is a superior game and has a synopsis of the original. If you like those, you will like 3.

It doesn't need to be innovative to be fun at all but it does to be fresh, no? (For clarification I don't mean innovative as a whole but innovative on the game's own system, adding new dimensions to it and whatnot). And of course my speculation is unjustified; that's why it's speculation, otherwise it would be opinion. I've played the demo and I've liked it and I would check out the previous games if I could, but my PS2 died a while ago. I'm just saying the game seems like it might get repetitive; what that has to do with the overall quality of the game and how that reflects on what I think of the game as whole is quite baffling. Methinks you might be misinterpreting.

The first Yakuza was one of my favourite games on the PS2. An RPG/Brawler like GTA with a decent plotline, with only slightly linear combat. (Punch, Punch, Kick, repeat, NEVER RAGE)
