Just before the big titles hit and the holiday rush starts all the big gaming consoles are bidding for your hard earned cash. See how you can save on a new 360 and PS3.

Let the price wars begin! What started out as a rumor is now a reality. Microsoft is now offering a $50 mail-in-rebate to anyone who purchases an Xbox 360 Elite console from September 22nd to October 5th. The rebate was announced or made official coincidentally on the same day Halo 3: ODST was released. Could this be a way slow down PS3 sales or is this a way to sell more copies of ODST? Probably the former but either way the consumers win. Although it’s a mail-in-rebate it’s still $50 and it’s not too much of a hassle to get your money.

Well, there you go, you can take those 50 bones that you saved and put them towards getting a year of Live.

F that! If I really want to play against other people, then I'll use XBConnect or Kai Xlink. The only reason I would get Gold would be to get some of the free stuff (seeing as how I don't use Netflix, it really doesn't have a lot of benefit).

Why is everyone hyped up over the 360? Ps3 is cheaper this way.

      Different tastes for different people.

And the fact that there's a bigger library of quality games on the 360 than on the PS3.

        That's highly debatable. Just saying.

True, but one library can appeal more to a person regardless of its size.

Maybe because they like the 360 games and live? It's not rocket science. Besides, you need to get the Sony credit card before you get the credit, which means if you can't pay the balance off immediately then you'll get charged interest. Potentially you'll get charged interest every month until you can pay it all off, so not really such a great deal.

If they approve you for the card in the first place.

That said, I'm almost interested in getting a PS3 now. D: Although it doesn't seem to me like you get $100 "off", you just get $100 toward something else, doubtful that you could apply it to the card balance. Maybe I'm wrong.

actually the $100 gets put onto the card so basically taking $100 off your payment. @curt connors and usually min payments are $25 a month if you cant afford that then dont get a ps3 lol. if you cant handle having a credit card then youre probably 12. also you can cancel as soon as you pay it off. the $200.

Yeah, no adult ever got into trouble with credit or managing their budget, your insight is impeccable

ok let me add this to it. if you cant handle a credit card with a $200 debt on it then ur prob 12. is that better? and if ur an adult who cant handle a $200 debt on a credit card then ur mind is that of a 12 yr old

I'm highly amused by someone giving financial advice who thinks 'ur' is viable spelling. Yeah, that convinces me
