At Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference, it was revealed that Final Fantasy VIII would be coming to PSN.
Well, is was released on the Japanese PSN today.
There is currently no word on whether it will be coming to the American or Europe PSN, but it's likely to follow in FFVII's footsteps and eventually make it to this side of the world.
Anyway, you can get Final Fantasy VIII on PlayStation Network as of today. As in right now. As in, if you live in Japan and have access to PSN, seriously, what are you waiting for?

Also, this is probably a dumb question, but is FFVII available on the Western PSN's? With my PS3 out of commission I haven't really been able to check the store, but when I get it back in a few days I plan to go on a purchasing spree.
Edit: I couldn't resist, so I popped it in. Just finished disc 1. Oh how I love this game.
But what a great game. I'm glad its finally coming to the store, even though I already have the PSX version. Guess that leaves FFIX coming within the next 6 months, I'd say. Another great game.
