Fumito Ueda Would Like to See Ico & SOTC On PS3

Fumito Ueda took some time to answer some fans questions, and one very popular question was if ICO and Shadow Of The Colossus would get the same treatement as God of War. That is, a collectors edition for the PS3. He said he wants to see those two games on the PS3, and lately he has been thinking about it, but no word if it will happen. I guess if there is anytime to blog like crazy, then its now.

When asked, Ueda said he's all for the idea, and that he'd like to play the games on PS3 (as well as on PSP). "Initially, I didn't want to consider that," he pointed out. "I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I've been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users."

    i never had ico or sotc but if its bundled i would definitely buy it because of the popularity

    Just so long as they leave the games as are and just make a simple port with no updates or changes.

      well, fix some graphical issues and do proper upscaling would be good.

        Uh-uh. I'm a purist when it comes to re-releases, especially with games like Ico and SotC. But I understand why you'd want it to be prettier. The choppiness in SotC was a bit off-putting.

          The choppiness will be even worse now.. I don't know about you but my TV has grown in scale since my PS2 days. Before I was running an old school 28 inch SDTV and now it's a 50 inch monster. The games looked terrible on the 28 inch, they are gonna look so so bad for many people with modern TV's.

    If it were to happen, I have a feeling that it would be a pretty hot item...


    Up until release anyway, where I have a strange feeling it still wouldn't sell all that well.

    I'd buy, it, though. ICO was the shit. <3

    I'd buy it, maybe not right away though, considering how expensive the God of War pack is going to retail for.

      I would buy it if was $60. Okay, maybe I would think twice about it, but if it was the same as GOW pack ($40) it would be day one buy for me.

    I never played Ico, and even though I played the crap out of SotC, I would buy that bundle in a heartbeat.

    I decided to play a bit of SOTC on my PS3 the other day. I'm using a 40inch Sony Bravia W series. It didn't look great, but it didn't look horrible either. I imagine ICO would look worse than SOTC on big screen hi def tv's. Let's hope they at least redo the entire thing in a larger format to increase graphic output D;
