Taking inspiration from old-school Japanese action movie posters, the Japanese box-art for Uncharted 2 has finally been released and, well, it's certainly different!
It is no secret that Japanese and North American gamers have different tastes. As such, publishers and developers often need to cater their titles towards the region-specific audiences.
This usually includes changes to the box art when the game arrives from a different region. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves provides a prefect example. Here is the Japanese cover of the Playstation 3 exclusive game.

Apparently, America uses character centered box arts as here, they want there to be an iconic hero; perhaps one that people will identify with as a brand to carry on with sequals.
I think European centers on certain themes or settings, I forget which.
Doesn't do the game justice at all.
