We've gotten small snippets of info about the new Resident Evil movie in the past few weeks but today we have a major casting update. Chris Redfield will be tagging along with his sister Claire Redfield and Alice as they take on the zombie horde and other Umbrella monsters in Resident Evil: Afterlife.

I thought the Resident Evil movies were ok films if you look at them as their own separate thing not connected to the games but based on the latest casting update for Resident Evil: Afterlife I can’t help but become a bit disappointed.

We all know that star Milla Jovovich is returning as Alice and actress Ali Larter (Heroes) will be joining her once again as Claire Redfield. I’m sure a few fans have been wanted to see Claire’s big brother join the fray and we’re getting that wish as Chris Redfield will indeed be in RE: Afterlife. But here’s the bad news: Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) is playing him.

Hahaha, the image is just pure gold. xD But wow, Miller bares a somewhat striking resemblance to Channing Tatum.

I don't see what the big deal is, Wentworth Miller is a fantastic actor and played his role in Prison Break exceptionally well.

Fantastic? Not really. But he certainly isn't bad enough to warrant all the whinging and whining that's bound to occur.

Meh, I could care less about the human cast. I wanna known what monsters are gonna appear. Now since this is their 4th attempt, they'd better get it right - put the goddamn Hunters in the movie!! They need to put more of those insectoid creatures from RE1/2/5!

I don't think you should hold your breath....at all. Knowing them, they might as well add in some Mecha-Alice as some main antagonist and whore the "Super zombie" throughout the movie along with the dogs. Super zombies...of all the *bleep*ing ideas...

And the Redfields will be just as uninteresting as Claire was in Extinction. They're just gonna become sidekicks for Alice just like Jill, Carlos, and Claire were.

I really detested how Claire was used in Extinction, despite it being my favorite of the 3 movies. I really thought they ought to stay away from actual in-game characters appearing on the screen seeing the route they've taken with the story. They tried to make something a little original in the first, turned it into a RE2/3 rip-off then went all apacolyptic in the third. This isn't anyway related to the RE games, so keep the games away from it. Thats what I think. But it won't keep me from seeing them. I still enjoy the movies.

But I'm not gonna hold my breath. However they still manage to put a new enemy in each of the movies, so hopefully the Hunters will be in there. If not...maybe next time.

Alice needs to die in the fracking teaser trailers. She's not Resident Evil, they aren't fooling anybody, get the gal nekked in some other movie and everybody is happy. Anderson fracked up Resident Evil, big time. He wants to kill Castlevania next. To hell with this, somebody needs to be slapped around, hardcore.

Though I do like the live action RE movies, my excitement dropped after I found nout it's the next LA RE instead of a new animated movie.
