Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is without question a beautiful looking PS3 game. Naughty Dog has revealed the polygon numbers for characters and how many polygons the game pumps out every second. The numbers are impressive.

In a video interview found in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Pal England, Lead Programmer at Naughty Dog, talked about the graphics of Uncharted 2. The main characters typically have eighty thousand polygons in them. Even more impressive, just using the graphics card, Naughty Dog was able to pump out two million triangles in every frame

    I laugh how the comments on that site all arguing over stupid things. It's like Kratos in God of War 3 is right now only pushing 20,000 polygons and Nate is pushing 80,000. Then you have people complaining because the video on the disc says there are 1.2 million polygons in every scene, but they also said that some scenes are pushing 2 million... I have never seen so much petty arguing over something that is clearly proven when you play the game, other than Crysis no one has ever played a game this detailed.

    Those numbers sound impressive, but Naughty Dog have always been ahead with graphics. I remember the commentary in Jak 3 stating Cyber Errol was comprised of over 20 000 polygons, and that was on the PS2.
