Damn straight it is. I searched within a some-odd 15 mile radius and couldn't find a single store that had it (and that's about 10+ stores). And then at the last moment I found one that did fairly far away, and luckily managed to get a ride there.

Demon's Souls has made me reconsider my stance of not pre-ordering anything. But then, Atlus games have always kind of been hard to find. Is it deliberate, I wonder?

Probably not deliberate in the sense of a marketing technique. I think Atlus just didn't think it would sell this well, to be honest I'm in the same boat. I figured it'd be more of a cult hit, not many people buy it but will carry underground praise.

Pre-ordering is nice sometimes, even if just for these reasons. Plus Atlus is great to its customers.

Really glad it's selling this well, it's a good sign that it's not only selling well at Amazon.com (Taking the third and fourth place) but also in brick and mortar stores. Good job From Software, you deserve it.

Dine, ALWAYS pre order Atlus games. It's a lesson I learned the hard way because more often then not Atlus games become expensive and rare. How many years has it been since Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne has come out and it's STILL $40 on average? Some people selling it sealed for insane prices. Do yourself a favor and pre-order Atlus games, you'll save a few headaches in the long run.

Plus you get a bunch of cool shit.
And yeah, Atlus are known for doing limited runs. Smart, given their position, though now this could change...

I hope that this makes them think about releasing this game into Eourope, since importing this game has become very hard now that it's sold out everywhere.

My hats off to Atlus and From Software for such a sleeper hit.
(Can From Software start making the Armored Core games this good now? Pretty please?)

They're going to be putting out another game (Actually I think it's due next month) called 3D Dot Hero. At first, I thought it was a straight rip off of Link to the Past, but after the second or third video, I couldn't help but to be charmed by it. It's a nice change of pace.

However, I do agree with you. A next-gen definitive Armored Core needs to come out; I wasn't a big fan but I loved watching

I believe that's actually a different studio with a very similar name.
I checked into it awhile ago -- here is their site, which doesn't list Demon's Souls anywhere.

It's a fantastic game! What's really great is that I actually plan to go to every level and die right off the bat, and I do it with a smile! LOL I EARNED a silver trophy tonight....most satisfying trophy to date.
