Sunday 11th October 2009, official world zombie day, a day where people come together and celebrate their love for such a fictitious creation. Well, DICE weren't shy to with their love for the zombies as the community team crafted a fun four hour event where it would literally be Zombies vs Skeletons
The whole event simply took place a week after the rental servers went live, giving the three members of the community team (Goodman, U-238 and ShadeShooter) their own servers to do such an event. Even coming up with kooky and spooky names such as Goodman's Graveyard and Shade's Steakhouse (The welcome message states "You kill 'em, we grill 'em" )
However the trio didn't stop there as they went the whole full nine yards when it comes to interacting with the community. They used Xfire's broadcasting feature, allowing all those players to watch the action from their Point of View, while they wait in the new queue system feature to get into the game.
Overall it seems the event was a success, there were a few hiccups but with constant interaction with the community, they were able to throw the issues to the side and not give up on playing the full four hours that they promised people.
The results? Oh you will have to check out their homepage or the source of this article (The source also takes you to an in depth story that the community team cooked up for the event and the awesome graphics used to promote this event but the question remains..how did you celebrate your World Zombie Day?
So is this story time or is there a point to all of this? Well considering that on Sunday 11th October 2009 it is World zombie day, a day where zombie lovers unite, we thought it would be a great way to celebrate a worldwide event by hosting a Skeletons VS Zombies event. So who will win? Who will be the ones to claim the title "The things that go bump in the night"? Are the bones going to chatter and knock against each other or are the bags of flesh going to rot and become worm food? Maybe the Skele-wags will triumph or maybe the walking corpses will overwhelm the enemy, either way only you guys can declare a winner. Here come the details!

Comments
and yeah, unfortunately not everyone was in the fun event mood, according to a few that watched ShadeShooter's feed commented that there was always only two royals kitted out in zombie outfits while the rest were just normal and even when ShadeShooter asked them to not shoot on rounds to gain screenshots, they ignored him and did anyway. Save to say it's not a good idea to ignore an official community team member at the best of times, let alone in his own server on an official event that he helped make.
Either way, other than that I hope there are more events like this.
