Mass Effect 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 NOT Coming To PS3

Yesterday there was a rumor floating around the 'net that Mass Effect 2 would be coming to PS3. EA have confirmed that this is false. They also confirmed that Left 4 Dead 2 also won't be released on PS3.

    What a shame :/ Curse Microsoft on paying companies to make them not release games onto the PS3, shame that these are some really good games, but still, nothing gained, nothing lost.

      Er, I'm pretty sure that tactic is utilized by every company.

      Shame about Mass Effect, it's a good game PS3 owners deserve to have. Share the love and all that. As for Left 4 Dead... well, I've always preferred Valve titles on PC anyway.

          No. I give Microsoft credit for what they've done with their problems. I think the 3 year warranty is good. I just don't think the RRoD should've been a problem in the first place.

    Doesn't matter. They're both on PC anyways.

    Not really exclusive IMO, but apparantley some people think they are.

      Their CONSOLE exclusive ffs.

        No. If I can find it on any other platform, it's not exclusive. It might be exclusive to Microsoft, but that's a weak argument.

          No, it's console exclusive. PC isn't a console, therefore console exclusive.

    was mass effect 1 even on ps3? i don't remember that it was. also l4d2 doesn't surprise me at all considering gabe hates the ps3.

      not so far, no. unfortunate cause the PS3 is missing out on some really good games that are so far 360 exclusive. at least they got Oblivion and Bioshock, but most PS3 ppl ive talked to take it for granted, even though those are both really good games. they should get the chance to play Mass Effect though, its mindblowing as far as western RPGs go.

    This isn't due to Microsoft for once. Valve already stated time and time again that Left 4 Dead (let alone number 2) as well as other games made by them won't appear on the PS3 due to other reasons than Microsoft, hell they even stated that they would try out the potential on the PS3 then gave up after a week.

    Just a shame these rumours won't go away once an official word has been said

      Which all goes to hell when you consider that its not exactly what Valve want, but EA. They ported Half Life 2 after all. Both games as far as I'm concerned are up in the air as long as their not owned by Microsoft, I won't bother with speculation, but no non-first party exclusive is safe anymore, and the dev's words mean nothing at all, they'll turn around in a second the moment they need to.

    Meh I don't care about the ME series and Dead Risng 2 will be good enough for me.Not to say that I wouldn't like to play the L4D series just that missing out doesn't really bother me.
