The Yakuza series has a cult following in North America and fans have been eagerly awaiting if the latest release in the series, Yakuza 3, would be released in NA. Thankfully, it looks like fans are getting their wish based on this latest news.

About a month ago news broke that Yakuza 3 (also known as Ryu ga Gotoku in Japan) would finally be making its way to North America. Despite the previous Yakuza games performing poorly in North America fans would have the chance to continue the adventure of running about Tokyo and getting into brawls when they're not eating noodles or singing karaoke at a hostess bar.

The one question that remained though was who was going to publish Yakuza 3 and if the game would retain the original Japanese voice acting and feature English subtitles. According to NeoGAF user Cyntec, who is a video game journalist, Sega will be releasing Yakuza 3 in North America.

personally, I really don't care anymore.. from what I've seen, the third one wasn't even an improvement really. same old stuff, just a more sandbox gameplay.
