Remember the "Well You'll Love The Wii Bike" article? After a long moment of silence from those peripherals this suddenly rides into the scene. Queue the laughter and shocked faces.

What do I have to say? On yer bike. Punbelievable you might say.

We've had the Balance Board, Zapper and snooker cue, and now we can reveal another new peripheral for Nintendo's console. It's the Wii exercise bike!

It's a sad thing that I'm no longer surprised by the sheer ridiculous peripherals coming out for the Wii. No, not even a full blown exercise bike. I suppose the one saving grace here is that it's not actually Nintendo making it.

Although I have to wonder about the price. I can't imagine something like that being too cheap, which probably won't sit well with the actual target customers.

A Wii bicycle? Go out and get a year's membership at a gym and you'll probably be saving more money than buying ridiculous peripherals like this for Wii exercising. The motion controls were cool, and a great invention, the Wii gun was a little much, but still cool, but this is over the top. I'm seriously not doubting they'll come up with a Wii trampoline in the near future.

Somewhere in Kyoto, there's a Nintendo executive who was just inspired.

I wonder how much it'll cost though. At any rate, I'm sure it'll be much cheaper than buying one of those proper stationary bikes. Although I'd be a bit concerned about its durability.

It still baffles me as to why people would rather do shit like ride a Wii bike when they could just go ride an actual *bleep*ing bike.
