With the second game not yet released, Assassin's Creed producer, Sebastian Puel is thinking about the sequel. He says he is toying with the idea of a female assassin, as opposed to it's male predecessors. The game may also be set in the WWII era.

"We've had discussions on that very topic," producer Sébastien Puel replied when asked about the possibility of a female assassin. "It could be really interesting but we'd need to find the right time period and place for that.

I was thinking that World War II would make a good setting, great minds think alike, eh?

A female assassin... Well, it would be different but at least Ubi could make themselves pro-feminist.

Seriously, the second one isn't even out yet and they are already going on the hype of the THIRD!

So long as they do a better job of it than the last lot who tried.

Can't see the whole leaping across rooftops thing working in a WW2 environment if I'm honest...just run around with a machine gun instead

I think most assassins are a little more subtle than that.

If they make the damage realistic (aka you can't be shot twenty times and still run around like you're fine) and focus on stealth more then it could easily work.

Wouldn't that idea be exactly like Velvet Assassin?

So, just like Velvet Assassin and Saboteur?

I'd prefer a medieval setting, tbh. Ir atleast, something older than the 19th century.

True. One of the great things about the first AC is it had a great believable atmosphere. And we hardly ever saw that century done so well in a game, and I expect the same thing with AC2. WW2 just has been done far too much.

I'd skip ACII and go straight onto hyping this game, so long as they actually pulled it off.

I would like a 19th or 18th Century Assassin's Creed. Either based around the Napoleonic War or maybe to do with a country being occupied by the British Empire.
