Naughty Dog announced that there will be a very limited amounts of the Fortune Edition of Uncharted 2. And by limited, they mean only two hundred copies. So when you have something that rare, its bound to be very pricey. One copy of the Fortune Edition is selling for a whopping 3,050 dollars on eBay. I guess the seller can use that extra $50 to buy the game now.

PSN user Voltroid was among the lucky winners at an Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Tournament, and has put his wares up for auction. Only 200 copies were made of this rare Fortune Hunter Edition of Uncharted 2, so you can bet it’s already fetching quite a price.

The auction which has just over 9 days left, is already at $3,050.00. If you’ve got an endless supply of cash to blow on rare video game goodies, you can go ahead and bid now.

Wow, that is really awesome, but selling it after all of that hard work on winning it? Kind of a waste, but I bet that the person would just blow the 3grand on something stupid anyway... But who would have that much money to blow on a rock in the shape of a treasure and a artbook with the game!?

I'll agree it's ridiculous, but who are you to tell him how to spend his money?

It seems he's loaded enough to drop nearly $4000 on a game. It doesn't mean he's a loser.

I'm not telling how to use his money. I'm just calling him a loser for spending 3 grand on a Limited edition game.

It does mean he's a loser. With what he payed he could have bought 76 new copies of the normal version or 10 new PS3's. Someone willing to pay such an amount of money for a collector's edition of ANYTHING which costs under 2k normally or isn't packed to the bollocks with extra value is a loser.

          http://www.milliondollarblog.org/gigayacht.htm

This is the gigayacht, it costs 500 million dollars. So if someone were to buy one of these they'd be a loser, because they simply could have bought a $300 row boat?

I think a yacht and a videogame are somewhat different from eachother, Seproth.

Also, that yacht is much, much, much better than a row boat, whereas the special edition of this game is only slightly better/different than the regular edition...

I realize that, it was an exaggeration. The point is, that he felt his decision was worthwhile, and that's good enough for me. But since you guys don't see my point. YOU ARE ALL LOSERS FOR NOT THINKING THE WAY I DO ABOUT THINGS.

The boat is a different standard; the gigayacht is a way of showing off that you're rich and powerful and have a massive willy even though it's actually tiny. That's a physical sign of fortune. Not to mention it's packed to the bollocks with extras that make it up to that value.

This is the collector's edition of a video game. There is pretty much nothing to it other than the fact that it's the collector's edition; the actual substance is something you can get for much cheaper, thus it's pointless paying so much for it other than collector's potential and anyone paying so much just for collector's potential on a game like this is a loser.

Though if it makes you feel superior acting like it's an actually reasonable and non-moronic purchase, continue. Just remember that niggling little doubt in the back of your mind won't go away, no matter how many times you hit it with the flannel of weak excuses (yes, you've just been Yhatzee'd).

Who knows, he might turn a profit if he decides to resell it in a few years. Besides, the guy obviously has money to waste anyways. If you have money to waste, you might as well waste it on something with some meaning to you that's one-of-a-kind.

Christiano Ronaldo spent £78,500 on a gold plated PSP with jewell encrusted casing (allegedly but never seen him holding it).

Then again a man worth £80 Million probably ain't gonna miss it.

Yeah but that's different. The PSP has the gold value now, thus it'll always be worth something, the game won't be.

Ever hear of Nintendo World Championships: Gold Edition? Probably not there's only a limited number of them in existence. It's worth over $10,000 now. Rare products, no matter what they are, will always be ridiculously valuable.

Christiano Ronaldo is a glorified cheerleader who's payed more than God for having well-organized feet. He's a complete *bleep*ing moron. I wouldn't be surprised if he gold plated his freakin' food.
