New releases for week ending June 22

Bioshock, The Darkness, Too Human, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, FIFA 08, PES 2008, Madden NFL 08, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Timeshift. All coming this week? No, don't be daft. Is it still sunny outside? Then there are still months of mediocrity ahead. Sorry.

With week after week of lacklustre software releases on pretty much every applicable format, it would appear the only thing worth playing is the waiting game. So, another seven days roll along, another seven days are chipped off the block of time sitting between now and the virtual tsunami of top-tier titles that are set to cascade around us come the end of the summer.

    Not really soon then is it? And it's not a surprise, PES always come sout at that time, or round abouts.

    And to be honest, other than PES 7, BioShock is the only one I really care about in that short list.

    Again, I am not really tempted by these Mediocre games, although there are some that spark my interest, like PES and Metroid Prime 3. The others? not really tempting.
