Two Classic Characters Return For Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion

I am not entirely sure what has been going on recently, but some game developers appear to be taking a page from professional wrestling.
While there has always been a number vocal devs that made crazy statements about their games (classic: John Romero's Daikatana "He will make you his '*itch'" ads) I don't remember a time when so many devs have been taking aim at one another's products.
The most recent industry in the industrial crossfire comes from the creative director of 'The 40th Day', who decided to take aim at the highly anticipated Borderlands.
"At the Naughty/Nice Electronic Arts holiday press event in New York City on Wednesday, Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director on the upcoming Army of Two: The 40th Day said his game already trumps the soon to be released title Borderlands in terms of weapon customization."
