Damn. First Xbox and now this. What the hell are people using these giant hard drives for? Are they porting their entire music collection over?

Films and downloadable games mostly, I'd assume.

I don't see the point in that excess stuff. All I need is space for a game's data install and save files.

Im actually running quite low on HDD space. Finding that im deleting some stuff that I dont want too. But then again, I only have 60GB.

Yeah I am in the same boat, I always try to delete stuff I don't need/want from my hard drive since I have like 17gb left.

It's not a matter of simplicity, its a matter of cash.

Dude, I have a 350 gig HDD. Its more or less a fail safe in case I, for some reason, let my Rock Band library grow to enormous proportions that it fills up my 60 gig HDD. Its a good thing I did since I have far surpassed 60 gigs in the past few months. Not to mention the numerous games vids, demos, etc that I've downloaded.

Let me ask - why does your computer have a giant HDD?

cause all the programs I am running are getting bigger. But I would love to upgrade, but I hardly have enough cash to buy my games.

It's hardly a rumour. Well maybe in North America but the 250Gb SKU launched in the UK on October 1st. It was only a matter of time America received one.

Hopefully this version will fix some of the problems people have been having with the slim.

I don't even use the 20gb on my 360. i don't see the point when i can just stream everything i want from my PC, no point filing twice as much space rightt? xD

Yeah, same with me. The only thing I use my HDD for, besides saving and all that, is downloading demos. I'm only able to hold about 10 demos at a time, but I don't really have a problem with it.

I guess a lot of people would rather watch films on their TVs, since most would have standard monitors but big ass TVs I'd assume.

Yeah, but even knowing that, you could still easily stream movies from your PC to the Xbox, which would not require you to use up any hard drive space at all. There's usually better alternatives to getting movies when you do it on the PC as well .

Don't get me wrong, there are better and easier ways of getting it done but the common person is a techtard, so they'd just go with whatever they see as being easier; ergo using up space.

Woah, what a coincidence. An advertisment on TV just came on, how if you buy a 250GB PS3 you get Uncharted 2 with it.

Sadly, i still have a 80GB HDD with only 27GB left

250GB? Haha, wow...I don't think I would ever use half that amount of space on my computer, let alone a video game console.
