Ninja Gaiden Sigma director sticks to easy mode

Linkin Park Fan | June 19, 2007 | News | Playstation 3
Perhaps you thought the developer for one of the toughest games out there would be playing it on hard, or at least have beaten it on hard. But the fact of the matter is that he plays it on easy. Also check out the real life Rachel picture.
You'd think the man in charge of one of the toughest games around would play it on the hardest difficulty, wouldn't you? Not so for Yosuka Hayashi, director and producer of Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3. Turns out he plays it on 'Ninja Dog', which you are offered when you die lots. But we'll forgive him because his game's looking ace.

During a quick Q&A session, Hayashi hinted that the Tecmo development team are split between the three consoles in terms of their favourites, hinting a Wii game might come from one of them. In our exclusive interview below, he also revealed that his boss Itagaki is working on another game that he is very impressed by, but that he wants to let him announce that, instead of stealing his thunder. The big tease. Still, it's good to know there's more promising titles in the pipeline from Tecmo.

Check out the interview below. And if you get bored of the talking, there's a lingering shot of the real-life Rachel in it near the end, too.

    Ooo hello Rachel! lol

So what if he plays it on easy? Maybe he just wants to get through it quicker so he can see what it turned out like? He might not be a great gamer, more of a designer/creator type person. lol XD

Yeah but he is the devaloper. He should know how to kill all the bosses, all the combos, and all the enemies weakness.

He doesnt make the games nor does he even know what the final game is until its release. I mean look at Cory Barlog i mean he was playing the demo to see if those parts was good. But he doesnt know everything on the game. He just makes sure its ready in time.

Heh, that reminds me of Shigeru Miyamoto. I remember when he was playing through a Wind Waker demo, and he pretty much sucked. Spent absolutely ages on one room, but I guess he just wanted to show everyone how it all worked.

I wouldn't mind that Rachel in the picture anyday.

Can't really blame him I guess, if the original Ninja Gaiden is anything to go by even Normal mdoe was quite a struggle.
