First pics of Rock Band guitar send crowd wild

Guitar Hero is probably the biggest music-based series to ever rock our collective worlds, and the rockin' just got a whole lot cooler thanks to Rock Band and, more importantly, the introduction of the new Fender Statocaster guitar we'll all be thrashing about on come release day. Like, you know, it's, like, you know...totally awesome!

The first images of the Fender Stratocaster guitar controller that will ship with EA and Harmonix’s Rock Band came to light today, showing precisely what we’ll all be rocking out on come the game’s release.

    It's hard to see, but from what I can tell there are 10 buttons. 5 on the higher end and 5 on the lower end, both sets consisting of the same colors.

      Looks a lot more realistic than the Gibson they used previously. Nice to see they have the smaller buttons for those really difficult solos.

    The lower set of five are thinner, therefore harder to hit with precision, and are specifically for blazing solo finger twiddling.

    I think it looks pretty good and I like the idea of the smaller frets for the solos but I'm going to have to play it before I confess my undying love for it. Needless to say as a part of the crowd it didn't "send me wild" but I do like it.
