This Thursday a couple of classic titles are coming to the PlayStation Network: Oddworld 1 & 2. The games, platformers with a surprisingly deep story and characters, will be on offer for $10 each.

PC gamers can already grab them via Good Old Games; in related news the two other titles in the series will be receiving belated ports to the platform this winter.

Head to the source for a retrospective of sorts from series' creator Lorne Lanning.

Now here we are today and because of SCEA and PSN, Abe’s goofy face and doofy walk are finding their way back into gamers’ homes once again. Abe finds a new generation of gamers on PSN, but this time it’s without the costly price of a physically distributed box product, which means Abe is now able to find his way at a ridiculously low price.

We can’t help but feel like Abe is our lost child who has finally returned home. He’s still healthy, he’s still happy, and if you read the forums lately…still holding up after all these years.

Thank you, Sony. (sniffle) You brought our baby home. (sobs)

I am ashamed to say, I got into the series late with Stranger's Wrath - I feel almost required to grab these off PSN to see what all the hubbub was about while I played PC games during that "era"
