He's covered in leak green, he carries the mighty Hyrulian sword and shield, he's fond of yelling "Hee-yaar," he's shrunk down for the DS, and he's pulled an extremely impressive review score from Famitsu (39/40). He'd be the eponymous Link, and the game would be The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will arrive in Japan later this week on the back of a near-perfect score from esteemed Japanese mag Famitsu. Link’s first appearance on Nintendo’s DS handheld has become only the seventeenth game in over two decades to score 39/40 in the publication; only six games have achieved a perfect score.

I have seen some recent gameplay footage of this, and I must say it looks absolutely brilliant. The graphics for the DS, and the way it plays, is immense. Glad to see such positive reviews to show that Nintendo have once again produced a fine as hell Zelda game.

I wasn't surprised to see a Zelda game impress the reviewers. Phantom Hourglass has some really good screenshots, and for a portable game to get that good of a score must mean the Legend of Zelda is really pulling out the good games.

I've loved all the handheld Zelda games with Oracle of Ages and Seasons coming in on top.
I've also been waiting for this game for ages now ! It seems like decades since The Minish Cap came out ... //

It looks amazing, but I hope it doesn't rely to much on the back story of Wind Waker, as unfortunately, I never managed to play it. But 39 / 40 from Famitsu is something to be proud of ^^
