PSP gets Sonic Rivals sequel

mistermostyn | June 20, 2007 | News | Playstation Portable
Sonic, the once-proud hedgehog that could, many moons ago, lay claim to being perhaps THE most iconic figure in gaming (well, beside a chubby Italian plumber we know). Iconic and respected, mark you. But not any more. Sadly Sonic largely sucks these days. Will Sonic Rivals 2 on the PSP alter the trend bucked somewhat by Secret Rings? Here's hoping.
2005 saw the release of Sonic Rush on the DS, a Sonic adventure that returned to the 2D roots of the series, and that was all the better for it. The following year, 2.5D racer/platformer hybrid Sonic Rivals appeared on the PSP, and also fared well with the critics. And now, Rivals is going to see a follow-up produced, with Sega of America declaring today that Sonic Rivals 2 will hit the PSP this Autumn.

    True.

I hope it's as good as Rush to be honest, that was a really under-rated game in my opinion.
