There wasn't a public demo for the first Assassin's Creed and it has now been confirmed that there won't be one for Assassin's Creed II either...

Whilst playing a level of the game at today's Eurogamer Expo, a Ubisoft representative told Connected Consoles that the game will not be getting a demo. This time however, this could be a safer decision for Ubi to choose as Assassins Creed II has been highly improved in most areas.

    Yeah, I really didn't expect there to be one.

    There doesn't seem to be many demos at all though. CSI and Band Hero demos. CSI was actually pretty fun, but I'd expect more demos this time of year.

    Demos never help with my decision on buying the game anyways, so I don't really care if there is one or not. I'm still getting it.

    if this game is as good as the first, then it'll be worth getting
