A while ago, Square Enix mentioned that they would make a Dissidia: Final Fantasy if the game's sales in the West were good.
Unfortunately, those sales were pretty average, leaving the possibility of a sequel hanging in the balance...

Dissidia: Final Fantasy has now been out for a few months in the West, but its sales figures are actually quite low in comparison to those from Japan, and even lower when compared to that of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII's.

While this might not seem like a big deal on the surface, it may actually prohibit the release of any kind of sequel, as Square Enix stated that a sequel would be based on its Western sales.

This is probably because almost nobody actually bought the game .... -.-
This is simple economics man... If nobody buys the games Sony will eventually shut you out...

Raise your hand anyone who actually paid full price for the Dissidia Game... I know I did...

I bought the collectors edition, but i'm pretty sure the sales failed because of people just downloading the game instead ; ; really sad when you think about it, could have had a great sequel on the way.

This is what happens when you develop a reputation of rehashing shit over and over and over again, Square-Enix.

i don't know about that. this sold poorly, yet i won't doubt for a second that ff13 will sell like crazy.

also i love how square is always trying to bribe their playerbase with sequels only if they buy their current product. "Buy chrono trigger DS and we'll make a sequel guys lol".. "buy moar dissidia and we'll make another".

That'll learn you, Square Enix. Now, stop this shit and get working on your good PSP titles. Chop chop!

Dissidia is a good PSP title, it's one of the best fighting games i have ever played and is implemented well into the Final Fantasy universe.

Personally, I found it pretty woeful from the moment I played the demo. Borrowed full copy from a friend for a couple of days before tossing it back at her and demanding she apologise for lending it to me.

Dude, we can all see that, your name is FinalFantasyFanaticc.
But Dissidia was good for a while, but the gameplay is way too repetitive, and some of the characters are waay unbalance, like Squall. He is a BP rape fosho.
But overall, Dissidia isn't that great. It's like a terrible DBZ game remake for the PSP.

A fighter that has repetitive mechanics and has some unbalanced characters? No way!

I thought it was fun, but my attention span for everything caps at about a week, still worth the buy and I'll probably get back into it when I go on a long trip.

Can anybody nab a quote on the sales for Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires?

I think it needs to be sent to Square, asap.
