Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that the short live action film showcasing events just prior to the beginning of the forthcoming Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Lineage, ranked as the most watched video on YouTube on the day of it's release.

Ubisoft has announced the first of the three episodes from the new Assassin's Creed: Lineage short movies that made its debut on YouTube on October 27th, 2009, was the most watched video on YouTube with over 1.7 million views worldwide in a period of twenty-four hours. On the day of its release, the first episode of Assassin's Creed: Lineage was also the most commented video and it also received with excellent feedback from viewers.
