You thought no dedicated servers was bad, the PC version is getting shafted from a lot more features. In an interview between the Infinity Ward and fans, Infinity Ward revelead that the game will have no console commands, no controle over the host, no leaning, no way to kick hackers and no option to record matches. Congrats IW, You just gave a huge finger to your fans.

Infinity Ward needs to realize that talking to people in the PC community does not end well for the buzz around its game. The lack of dedicated servers was "announced" during an interview with a gaming podcast, and the interviewers were stunned into silence when they were basically told their community, as they knew it, was dead. They would have to learn to adapt to Infinity Ward controlling all aspects of the servers, or move onto another game.

More recently, Best Buy hosted an online chat between gamers and Mackey McCandlish and Ryan Lastimosa from Infinity Ward. The floor was open for questions, and the pair systematically crushed any hope that the PC version of the game would even attempt to make gamers happy, or allow for what the community has been taking for granted for years. We're going to take a look at some of the more telling questions from this session, and give our thoughts on why this is bad, bad news.

I assume IW just doesn't give a shit anymore because console owners (except me) are gonna buy the *bleep* out of this game...

I'm pretty sure most of the 'non-features' mentioned comes with the package of IWnet. We'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds. But of course no dedicated servers meant no real console control, etc.. Only one that stands out is the no leaning option, is that in the consoles? :S

This is very reminisent of the horrible Wii Version of Guitar Hero World Tour...

They just tried to *bleep* them over as much as they could, and it looks like it is the PC's turn -_-

Once again this is why I hate IW. They seem to hate any other console (and PC) that isn't the 360. The only reason I'm betting that they're developing the game for PS3/PC in the first place is for even more money. That's all I can see.

They don't hate the PS3. Microsoft pay IW yes for exclusive stuff but IW have always been fans of everything Sony. I recall back when CoD4 hype was huge IGN was raving about the PS3 version being graphically superior. IW like many formats most of these choices are most like Activisions work which would explain Aussie Legend bringing up the Guitar Hero anti Wii thing.

What the *bleep* is the point.

They had it in Cod4 FFS.

Looks like CoD4 will keep going strong on PC...mod community will probably update it graphically.

Christ, the PC is the fledgling FPS's rearing grounds and this is what it gets? Mod and community customization is what ensures the lasting life of a game, and we cant even get to the console!?

Thankfully DICE knows how to treat the platform with respect. 1943 will have all the goods and then some.

I advise anyone that was interested to simply support DICE instead.
