Who says video games can't be turned into great movies? For years gamers have put up with game-to-movie adaptations that have ranged from terrible to average, but never much more than that. Well, it looks like Prince of Persia is about to change that. According to film producer Jerry Bruckheimer the test audience "flipped" over the movie. They adored it!

According to film producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the movie is screening great — no, better than great. Greater than great! Says the producer, "What we found when we tested the movie a few weeks ago, and it tested extraordinarily high which surprised me because I always think these things are going to fail but this one turned out great; the women were a surprise because I thought we made a terrific movie for the boys because the girl is beautiful but the women flipped over this film."

I've heard of test audiences not liking movies. But the makers usually don't admit it until you watch the DVD commentary after you've bought the movie.

I'd love to hear the opinion of someone who had played the games though and saw it.
