In an effort to promote Square Enix's magnum opus, Microsoft is giving gamers an incentive to help them out. Their promotion consists of registering through their site and tweeting about the game. Once the quota for registered tweets is met, gamers who did so will receive a special code in December for an exclusive downloadable item via XBL.

Check out the source to register and start tweeting!

Note that it's an Xbox LIVE item and not an exclusive in-game item.

No amount of digital goodies will get me to commit to the pointless and insipid action of "tweeting."

...And even while typing this I feel that eventually I'm going to eat my words, just like with Facebook. :<

I wished this game stayed as a PS3 exclusive, danm Xbox's getting rewards and such and this game wasn't even going to them in the first place :/

I know I am. I hate Xbox fanboys. I don't hate the Xbox, though.
I always see them badmouthing the PS3, when it has less of a failure rate and better overall internal equipment. PS3 owners, by and large, don't do that sort of thing. We just sit in the corner and play LittleBigPlanet and Demon's Souls and the other great exclusive games we have.
The point I'm making here is that, for every good game the Xbox shares with the PS3, the fanboys will always shout that it is WAYYYYYY better on the Xbox. Even if there is no proof, the code is identical, the same DLC at the same price... it never changes. I just hate it when they get to crow about another game.

ive never laughed at the actual act of PS3 fans losing exclusives to 360. or bragged about getting FF13 or anything.

i have laughed at how PS3 fans have been getting upset about the whole thing though. mainly cause some of them (not saying you) have thrown an outright 5-year-old temper tantrum about it, which is so pathetic i couldnt help but laugh at them.

And yet how many tweets must you do? I don't mind contests like these sometime, but I hardly ever win because I don't feel like becoming a spammer advertising for someone, by tweeting hundreds of ads . . . just for some voucher for something that's relatively cheap.

Wonderful, Absolutely *bleep*ing wonderful. Once again Microsoft gives anyone outside of the damn US the middle finger.

*bleep* you Microsoft and your bias towards your damn country.

It's a shame that this isn't applicable to anyone outside of the States.
