One of my main gripes with Super Mario Galaxy was how easy it was to complete most levels. Well it looks like that will change in the sequel. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that Mario Galaxy 2 will be "really challenging" and may even use the "Super Guide" feature...

In an interview with ONM, Miyamoto said he couldn't tell if the Super Guide will feature in the forthcoming Galaxy sequel.

"Well, as far as the challenge of Super Mario Galaxy 2 is concerned, I think it's going to be a really challenging game, but whether or not we are going to incorporate the Super Guide, I just cannot tell," Miyamoto told us. "In general, wherever and whenever appropriate, I think we will want to incorporate that kind of thing, but I cannot commit to anything specific right now."

Doesn't is make sense to be able to play all of the game you paid for? Even if you can't get past a certain point? It eliminates the need to waste time on the internet and you don't have to activate it if you don't want to.

Haha "THIS GAME WILL BE HARD LETS JUST PLAY THE GAME FOR YOU" Nintendo don't even understand gaming anymore. Just like Reggie fails to understand business.. Nintendo are on a pretty big downward slope.

Wow. Why is this a bad thing? It's an optional feature designed to help those that are having difficulties and might not be accustomed to or skilled at video games in general. It's not like they're forcing you to use the feature.

It's the principal to be honest you give a child an option take the shortcut or walk for 2 hours they will take the shortcut. The same rules apply here yes the child or whatever will play to a point until they use it once and like using cheats they will keep using it until the game is complete. Once you dumb down games the kids will be used to easy as shit games, it's only detrimental to the future of the industry. Games are easy enough as it is.

Jumping onto the internet to look at the solution is much better path that will ensure that the industry flourishes. Also, why blame the designers for the lack of self control or will power in the gamers?

Atleast the retarded kid will play through the level after finding the solution online. Super Guide allows them to skip the level entirely or the entire game just by pressing a button and watching the game play itself.

In New Super Mario Bros, you're rewarded for going through the game without using it, so there is incentive to do it without "making the game play for you".

Simply following what you read in a detailed walkthrough, or see in a video on youtube really isn't all that different from skipping the level altogether.

Miyamoto also said that it was to hard to put Peach in NSMBWii because of her dress then says only the wii's power could have handled his dream game NSMBWii when it couldn't even handle a dress.

That's where you're mistaken; it could handle the dress, him and his team are just lazy *bleep*s.

Some games I think could really use something like this. You know, the games that require you to literally master it by playing for 100+ hours before you can have the skill to just pass a part of the story/main part of the game.

But for those slightly challenging, I wouldn't want it in there.

But then hey, who am I to say what's challenging or not. I think it's alright to have in there as long as it doesn't become over-used. I'd rather see people play through a game using it, instead of getting so frustrated that they hate the game and stop playing altogether.
