Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement of a new promotion designed to entice Xbox LIVE Silver Subscribers to upgrade their account, with Gold Membership available at a discounted rate.

Microsoft has today announced another promotion aimed at encouraging Xbox LIVE Silver Subscribers to upgrade their account. An Xbox LIVE Gold Membership entitles gamers to a number of additional services on Xbox LIVE, most notably the option to play multi-player games online.
