Popcap's casual Zombie tower defense game, Plants vs. Zombies has been nominated for Best PC Game of the Year at the 2009 SpikeTV Video Game Awards. This is the first time that a game from a "casual" studio has gone up against AAA titles from large publishers. Other nominees are Dragon Age: Origins, Left 4 Dead 2, and The Sims 3.

    It's an insanely good and addictive game for it's price, it's casual yet not casual, hard to explain really

    I've played it a thousand times, it lost its luster for me. BUT, while it wasn't, it was the best casual puzzle game ever.

    I sadly havent heard of this game.

    Just by looking at some gameplay videos, I can really say I can see how this could be there.

    Yeah definitely one of the most addictive casual games.
