Yep. You've read the title correctly. ANOTHER EFFING GUITAR HERO. Now I know what you're thinking.
A sequel? From Activision?? NO WAY!!
Well, Activision didn't officially announce it, but in an interview with the band, Tesla, lead Guitarists Dave Rude and Frank Hannon stated that their hit single "Modern Day Cowboy" Will be featured in the next Guitar Hero.
"Honestly, there's some pirate versions of 'Modern Day Cowboy' that people have made up for the game out there. They did ask us what we would request. That was one of our three that we wanted." Said Rude.
Later that day, Activison confirmed it was being made.
So, logically speaking that at the rate we are going, by December 2010 we will be over Guitar Hero 9000 (pun not intended)
Though Activision hasn't formally announced a 6th iteration of its Guitar Hero franchise, that hasn't stopped rock group Tesla from confirming the title's eventual release.
In an interview with Bravewords.com, Tesla guitarists Dave Rude and Frank Hannon confirmed the band's hit single "Modern Day Cowboy" will be available to to play in the next Guitar Hero. "'Modern Day Cowboy' is going to be on Guitar Hero 6," Hannon stated.
"[Activision] chose it," Rude added. "Honestly, there's some pirate versions of 'Modern Day Cowboy' that people have made up for the game out there. They did ask us what we would request. That was one of our three that we wanted."
Activision did confirm during an investor's call earlier this month the company will be releasing a new Guitar Hero next year, but did not comment any further on details.

Though I must admit playing Modern Day Cowboy would be an absolute blast. That's definately the kind of music they should be going for, awesome 80's rock/metal.
Quite why there's a market for it is a total mystery.
100,000,0 POINTS!!! YOU MUST BE GAY LIKE SIR JONAS THEMSELVES!
Or a total tool who hasn't a clue what real music is about, one or the other.
