While thrashing about on Guitar Hero's replica Gibson SG is perhaps the most fun you can have with a music-based videogame, there's always been a drum-shaped hole in the genre, just begging to be filled. Well, last week saw the unveiling of Rock Band's 10-button Stratocaster, and now we've got a sneak peek at the Rock Band drum kit. Excited. Um... ya!

Images of the microphone and drum peripherals that will ship with Harmonix’s Rock Band have finally been revealed, only a few days after we got our first peek at the guitar controller. Pictures of the two appeared in the latest edition of Game Informer magazine, and the page in question was promptly scanned and stuck up on the internet for all and sundry to see.

Animal style drumming can only be a good thing.

Couldn't agree more... although is it wrong to be a little worried that the price (with drum set) is going to be astronomical? Need vs. Bank Account.

I am gonna be so awesome at drumming. The only time I've done it I was pretty good. I got natural rhythm baby.

There's a slight difference between 4-4 time, and the march time (2-2) beat I'm sure you're more used to, Vito my love.

Mistermostyn, I read somewhere that the price of electronic stuff like this drops dramatically after about three months.

Not to mention if they throw in some bands like Dillinger Escape Plan just to make it harder they use 4-4 and 5-7 and even 23-32 if they need to, the wonders of mathcore hehe... Would be fun to try and play on drums lol.

They're just artist renditions, aren't they? Nothing official I don't think.
