Nightwing Confirmed For DC Universe Online

Dick Grayson might currently be galivanting around the comic book world as Batman while Bruce is "out of commission", but don't expect him to be dressed as Bats in DC Universe Online (wouldn't that be disappointing!). It has been confirmed that he will will be appearing as Nightwing in DC Universe Online.

The boys and girls at Sony Online Entertainment really know how to push the right buttons, enticing DC comic fans even further into buying their upcoming MMO set within the famous fictional universe. The most recent additions to DCUO's cast, including Bizarro and Green Arrow only continues to be bolstered as fangirl-favourite Nightwing swings onto the scene.

    I could have sworn that this was confirmed long ago. I have a image that dates back from late last year showcasing Tim, Dick, and Bruce as Robin, Nightwing, and Batman respectively. Image here

    Still, Nightwing, and Dick Grayson in particular, is my favorite DC character (second to Wally, heh), and I'm thrilled to see him included in the MMO...sucks that we can't play as these characters though, but I guess that would ruin the portrayal or something.

      I think the screenshots are new, and the announcement is now "official." My guess, anyway.

      To be fair, the game was in development a while before Dick became Batman. Heck, would have been just as weird to put him in Arkham Asylum as Batman.

        Whoa there, the stuff DC has been producing lately has been amazing, especially Darkest Night, Dick Grayson is also a great Batman, just he ain't no Bruce Wayne.

        Now i understand were your coming from Storm, makes more sense to just keep it like that, means we get more characters.

          Despite what goes on in the comics, if I was playing as Batman in a game then I'd want to be Bruce frickin' Wayne. He's the real goddamn Batman.

          Truth be told though, Dick would be best fit to replace Batman better than any other character I know of. He's definitely Bruce's successor, adopted son and his mindset/actions are on par with Bruce's, some even excelling in certain areas, such as his well-known respect and leadership.

          And yeah, Blackest Night has been great thus far. ^^
