Capcom's little-known PS2 horror Haunting Ground won't be getting a sequel... at least, for the moment.
When asked if the series would ever see a continuance, Capcom's Christian Svensson said, "for now, the franchise rests."

As far as what happened to it, for whatever reason (likely sales) producers in Japan haven't been inclined to keep the series going. So for now, the franchise rests.
