While rumors have been going around all day regarding Silent Hill series composer and producer Akira Yamaoka leaving Konami, OSV has received official confirmation from Yamaoka himself. This is huge news for the gaming industry, as Yamaoka has been one of the biggest critics of the Japanese gaming industry. It will be interesting to see what he does if he decides to work freelance in the gaming industry.

    Honestly, I'm glad. Silent Hill died with Team Silent.

    I gasped. For three reasons:
    1. The music was the only reason I continued to care about SH.
    2. I was listening to Silent Hill music as I saw it.
    3. Does this mean Mary won't be doing the songs anymore? ;;

    Well that's the final nail in the coffin. He might as well join Keiichiro Toyama (original SH director) to help with the Siren games....if they haven't completely died yet.
