inFamous Sells 1.2 Million Worldwide, Free DLC Available Today

Electronic Theatre reports on the revelation that Sucker Punch Productions' PlayStation 3 exclusive inFamous has achieved sales of 1.2 million worldwide, with free downloadable content being offered from today in celebration.

In an unsurprising turn of events, Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed that Sucker Punch Productions’ PlayStation 3 exclusive release, inFamous, has sold in excess of 1.2 million units worldwide, as of October 2009. Originally launched across Europe in May 2009, inFamous has been met with great success, and both a sequel and a motion-picture adaptation are currently in the works.

    Not too shabby for a new exclusive IP which faced tough competition on release. I'm going to try out the blades later today

    Always nice to see a good new superpowered IP, and it's nice of them to reward the fans. Will be the first game I pick up when I eventually scrape together the cash to buy a PS3
