Set three years after the original game, Dead Space 2 will be improved a lot, allowing poor Isaac to fight Necromorphs in bigger world and in multiplayer mode. Article is based on a paper issue of Game Informer magazine and gives a lot of useful in-depth info regarding the sequel to a popular space survival horror.

So I come home from a trip and the first thing I see sitting in my mailbox back at me is Issac with a mining gun. Rad. Now there are a bunch of new screens here including dead babies, beautiful lighting effects, alien ruins, and metropolis cities under attack, but with no scanner I can only give you details. Just trust me on this: This game looks much more beautiful than the last game, and that's saying something.

Never heard of the source, so I hope it's accurate as I like the sound of the improvements. I hope they don't nerf the singleplayer campaign in order to pack it full of multiplayer stuff though, fingers crossed the main campaign is as creepy and entertaining as the first.

So excited about this game. Dead Space 1 was awesome and this just looks to be making it even better. I was kind of hoping for co-op campaign but ohwell.

The break-out is taking place on a largely populated space station
    bad-ass.

AS for the multiplayer, I was doubtful for it being uncharted, but that turned out great, maybe this has a chance.

With no scanner he can't show us these pictures? What? Dude doesn't have a camera either? In any of the tons of forms they come in now-a-days?

If Dead Space 2 really does take place in a huge space station that would be *bleep*ing sick.

Huge space station, huh? This sounds like it'll be much longer. Also makes way for a lot more HUGE Necromorphs this time. Here's hoping there are more.

And multi-player has me skeptical. This is a solo game, basically, so having several people on the same screen kinda removes the scare factor (i.e. RE5). But hey, they might be able to do something with it. You never know.

I'm starting to get interested in the series again. I never played the first one, but now I'm starting to wonder if I should check it out . . .

Man, you should be able to get hold of a pre owned copy now for a good price, and it's nothing really earth shattering (apart from maybe the zero gravity sections) but it's fun as hell. Go buy it, seriously.

Might just have to do that! Though my game-wanted list is growing because I've been seriously lacking time to play the past couple months

As long as multiplayer is different from Single player and doesn't hinder the SP experience at all, I don't care.

And this seems like an amazing sequel. I can't wait for this.

Please let it be a survival mode in the same vein as L4D

...you all know playing as the different types of Necromorphs would be fun as hell, considering there are quite a few.

Would suck if we get pinned to a wall or dismembered until we have no method to attack
